I come to Impact Producing from the perspective of both an organizer and an artist. It was my work with Mariposa & the Saint that taught me the most about how a piece of art or media can become an incredibly powerful and transformative tool for organizing work. It’s from that experience that I remain energized and driven to find ways to make films (and other media projects) be fully stitched into the organizing landscape, fueling our fights for social justice and bringing people together across diverse terrains and issues. This was my orientation as I planned our successful impact campaign for Decade of Fire, and now, as I continue this work, supporting storytellers and organizers to create social change, together.
